Dal 22 di Marzo 2010 in Germania è diventata legge il regolamento BImSchV che regolamenta le prestazioni, ed emissioni (compreso il contenuto delle polveri sottili) dei prodotti a combustibile solido che rispondono alle seguenti norme: EN 13240; EN 15250; EN 13229; EN 12815; EN 14785.
The website of the European Community has published an updated list of the harmonized standards with reference to directive 89/106/EEC.
Not yet included is EN 14785, while the latest amendments have been introduced for standards EN 13240 – 13229 – 12815 – 12809.
EN 15250 has also been introduced, with the effective dates as shown below:
- 01/01/2008 effective date
- 01/01/2009 obligatory date of presumed compliance

For the sale of solid fuel products, as of 1 January 2008 it will be obligatory to specify on the ratings plate the compliance with the new limits indicated in annex 4 of the OAPC (Ordinance on Air Pollution Control of the Swiss).
According to this ordinance, the limits of CO and dusts, depending on the products, must comply with the established values, which are:
EN 303-5 or EN 12809
